Shopping Options
There are three primary shopping options near The Anchorage Marina.
Nelson Bay CBD – 5 minute drive, 50 minute coastal walk or a short walk to the bus stop (bus 130, 131). Here you will find a host of small shops and boutiques, cafes, souvenir shops, restaurants, bars and accommodation as well as a cinema, post office, pharmacies and Woolworths supermarket.
Salamander Square Shopping Centre – Indoor shopping – 5 minute drive or about 10 minutes on the bus (130). Here you will find supermarkets, department stores, pharmacies, an indoor eatery, pizza and takeaway chains, sports and furniture stores www.salamanderbaysquare.com.au
Shoal Bay – small seaside shopping and cafes – 10 minutes by car or 25 minutes on the bus. Restaurants, bars, cafes, takeaways, boutiques, accommodation.

Please pop in to the office or ask the friendly staff on the dock about local Contractors who can look after all your boating needs from electrical, mechanical, repairs and servicing.
Waste disposal
At the beginning of each arm you will find General and Co-mingled waste bins for your use. We simply ask that you put your rubbish in the right bin to help keep our environment healthy.
Oil, batteries and problem waste can be dropped off at Salamander Bay Waste Transfer Station, 4 Tarrant Rd, Salamander Bay, 2317.
Gas bottles
Gas bottle refills are available at BCF located at 6 Innovation Cl, Taylors Beach, 2316.
Gas bottle swaps are available at BCF and Bunnings both located at Taylors Beach; and any of the local service stations.
